UNPLUG collection explores the fusion of human consciousness and robotic beings, envisioning fashion in a post-humanist era where AI merges with our essence. Inspired by the pixelated aesthetic of early 2000s arcade games, which launched the digital age, I blend vintage technology with innovative design to evoke nostalgia and connection. My "pixel technique" uses medium small, geometric, fabric pieces, mimicking a computer’s 2D grid, to create adaptable fits while reducing waste, allowing to easily utilize upcycled/dead stock fabrics. Sustainability extends to bio-plastic-coated cotton, crafted from natural resources for a leather-like aesthetic. The pixelated style reflects our digital reality. Beyond aesthetic, this collection is designed to underline the upcoming smart garments focused on enhancing human bodies, redefining fashion’s role in a digitized world.
